The Edinburgh Playhouse is the UK's largest all-seated theatre, playing host to some of the biggest names in live music, stand-up comedy and musical theatre. The venue was originally opened in 1929 as Scotland's second largest cinema. When it closed in 1973, it was resurrected by 'save the Playhouse' campaigners and restored into a fully functional theatre. The Edinburgh Playhouse is owned by ATG Entertainment.

Very uncomfortable seats. Hard, limited leg room and too close together. The Alhambra in Dunfermline has the best seats (in the stalls). The bar to seat service is poor. Last time we were there we go…Full review by 604bill
