Free to visit, this saxon castle ruins is a joy to see. Overlooks the saxon church. Pretty basic visit but worth a look. Free parking in small car park opposite.Full review by rayrest

Yes. The site is much like a park. In case you are wondering dogs on leads are also allowed on the walk around Lydford Gorge but I would only take a dog on that walk if they are very well behaved as the paths can be hazardous.
