Medicine Bluff is basically undisturbed and incredibly beautiful. It is no wonder that the bluff was and is a special place for Native Americans. The bluff was utilized for healing. The short hike from the parking lot is not paved but takes only a few minutes. The bluff is a beautiful transition from the grassy rolling hills to the East and the granite mountains just to the West. A must see. All that is required is access to the army base - an easy and quick process (typically a 4 day pass is provided when you show your ID). Also visit the Apache cemetery and Geronimo's grave.
