You do not need a ticket to visit the gift shop. I have done so.

Tickets appear to be available both online and at the facility. I did purchase mine online before going and showed the QR code on my phone.

It depends really on the person as I took 2 hours with out reading the information . So give yourself a free time for 4to 5 hours.

Yes you can do both, and you can if you like walk to the other, if not too hot. Enjoy, the National Museum is beautiful!

The Museum has been undergoing a rebuild for at least 5 years and it does not look like it will be open for a few more months. The recent reviews here appear to be of the Fanar, Qatar Islamic Cultural Center and confusingly the main picture for this listing is of this building.
