Apple intends to release a pair of smart glasses by late 2026. These glasses will be similar in function to Meta’s Ray-Ban models and the Android XR glasses recently unveiled by Google.

Google is trying out smart glasses again. At its Google I/O keynote address on Tuesday, Google showed off a product that was referred to simply as "Android XR glasses" in both the presentation and the accompanying blog post.

The smart glasses from Apple may allow users to take photos and videos, listen to music, get directions, make phone calls and ask questions.
