The Heat, Spurs and Rockets are Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant's preferred trade destinations, sources told ESPN on Saturday night.

This will be at least the Heat’s fourth pursuit of Durant during the past decade. Miami tried to land him in 2016 free agency, then tried to acquire him in 2022 (when he requested a trade from Brooklyn; he wasn’t traded until eight months later, to Phoenix) and then made an offer for him before this past February’s trade deadline.

Since the Boston Celtics were eliminated from the 2025 NBA Playoffs, trade talk has swirled among the fan base and the media. Jayson Tatum is set to miss next season due to injury, and the current squad will cost approximately half a billion dollars.

Kevin Durant averaged a team-high 26.6 points in his second full season with the Phoenix Suns. An ideal fit for him in a trade is with the Rockets.
