Naresh Balyan, an AAP MLA, was arrested hours after the BJP released an audio clip in which the AAP legislator was purportedly heard instructing gangster Kapil Sangwan to threaten and extort ransom from a Delhi builder and other people.

AAP MLA Naresh Balyan was arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch on Saturday evening in connection with a 2023 extortion case, police officials said.“The arrest was made after an investigation revealed an audio clip of a conversation between Balyan and notorious gangster Kapil Sangwan,

The five-minute audio clip purportedly is a conversation between Balyan and fugitive gangster Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu and it was later shared widely on social media.
