New York Rangers star Artemi Panarin and Madison Square Garden paid a financial settlement to a former team employee who claims Panarin sexually assaulted her, according to a report from The Athletic.

The Athletic reported that Panarin and Madison Square Garden Sports, which owns the Rangers, paid financial settlements to a former employee last year after she alleged Panarin sexually assaulted her. A spokesperson for MSG said in an emailed statement, "The matter has been resolved.”

The alleged assault occurred in December 2023 during a Rangers road trip, according to two Rangers sources briefed about the matter.
