Kansas native Joey Wentz got a standing ovation Wednesday from about 20 family members, hundreds of traveling Braves fans and some of his old pals and high school coach, some seated behind the visiting dugout as he exited after pitching 6 2/3 scoreless innings against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium.

Preliminary tests indicate a positive prognosis for injured Atlanta Braves right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. Atlanta Braves right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. left Tuesday's game against the Kansas CIty Royals and is already on the injured list. But he appears to have avoided a serious injury.

The Atlanta Braves have placed Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list because of right Achilles tendon inflammation. The severity of the injury is still unclear.
