Thousands of people nationwide have shown up at protests and rallies opposing ICE raids as unrest grows in response to the Trump administration's immigration crackdown.

Mayor Karen Bass was joined by other regional mayors calling for an end to the ICE raids across Southern California.

An undocumented immigrant living in Los Angeles has been charged with assaulting a federal officer after allegedly spitting on an ICE agent who was serving a warrant at his home.
