The Los Angeles Clippers shook up their roster again Thursday, waiving a rookie forward after their win against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Memphis Grizzlies gave an encouraging update on Ja Morant's injury status before the team's game vs the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday, Dec. 5.

Chris Paul's second stint with the Los Angeles Clippers ended abruptly on Wednesday when the franchise announced it was parting ways with the future Hall of Famer. Paul, who re-signed with the team this summer on a one-year deal, appeared in 16 games and averaged just 2.9 points.

"We might need to get everyone in the league on a Zoom and brainstorm some ideas [to fix the Clippers]," one executive joked. "Invite everybody except Sam." The fact the Clippers don't control their draft pick makes this situation far more complicated.

Rookie Cedric Coward finished with another double-double on Friday, leading the Grizzlies to a home win over the Clippers at FedExForum.

Kawhi Leonard has 24 points and James Harden adds 18 points and seven assists, but Memphis closes the game on a 9-0 run to hand the Clippers their ninth defeat in 11 games, 107-98.
