Verstappen holds the all-time record for sprint race wins in F1, with 12 since the shorter races were added to the schedule back in 2021, and he will be the favourite to claim a lucky 13th at the Circuit of the Americas on Saturday and close that gap to the McLarens in the championship even further.

Every Formula One race during the 2025 season will be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ABC. All practice and qualifying sessions and all F1 Sprint events also will be broadcast. This race will be carried on ESPN. Selected races will also stream on ESPN Plus, featuring two alternate streams for all races (Driver Tracker and mixed onboard cameras).

Tsunoda described his elimination as “shocking,” and also expressed some frustration with Liam Lawson, who he replaced at Red Bull. Tsunoda left pit lane right behind Lawson, who maintained his position in front of Tsunoda as is his right.

Piastri currently leads the Formula 1 standings with 336 points, followed by McLaren teammate Lando Norris at 314 and Red Bull's Max Verstappen with 273. However he's been named the No. 2 contender to win this year's U.S. Grand Prix, standing 10 seconds behind Verstappen. But of course, like any competition, anything can happen.
