A 23-year-old Davenport woman was struck and killed by a car after looking for her cellphone along the shoulder of Interstate 4 near Plant City, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The 23-year-old woman from Davenport was hit around 8:45 p.m. Friday, according to Florida Highway Patrol. HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A woman was killed after she was hit by a car while looking for her cellphone along I-4 near State Route 39 in Hillsborough County.

The bicyclist was in the northbound inside lane of U.S. 1, south of the Columbia Boulevard overpass, around 11:30 p.m. when his bicycle was struck by the left front of a northbound 2007 Toyota Camry driven by a 21-year-old Satellite Beach man, FHP said in a release.

Florida Highway Patrol said a bicyclist was hit and killed on US-1 in Brevard County late Friday night. According to FHP, the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. on US-1 just south of Columbia Boulevard (State Road 405).

A 19-year-old driver reportedly drifted across the road before colliding nearly head-on with the car the man was riding in, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

A Jeep Cherokee driven by a 21-year-old woman from Englewood was behind the Toyota and collided with the rear of the vehicle as she tried to pass, according to FHP.

A Brevard County crash late Friday night left a 20-year-old Satellite Beach man dead, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 11:30 p.m on Highway 1 just south of the Columbia Boulevard overpass.
