Jesse Eisenberg, who wrote and directed the Poland-set film 'A Real Pain,' is officially a citizen of the country.

Kieran Culkin is taking home his first Oscar for his performance in the Jesse Eisenberg film “ A Real Pain .” Culkin, who was a favorite to win best supporting actor heading into the 97th Academy Awards Sunday, has consistently won accolades for the role throughout awards season.

After dominating his category all awards season, Kieran Culkin completed the sweep Sunday, taking home the prize for Best Supporting Actor at this year’s Oscars. After accepting from last year’s winner Robert Downey Jr. Culkin thanked several people including Jesse Eisenberg with the kindest compliment.

US actor Jesse Eisenberg has been awarded Polish citizenship by President Andrzej Duda, after telling the story of the Jewish population during World War Two in his Oscar-winning film A Real Pain. Eisenberg wrote,

Actor, writer, director Jesse Eisenberg is now officially a Polish citizen, Variety reported. The Now You See Me star was granted citizenship by Polish President Andrzej Duda in a New York ceremony on Tuesday.
