Kanye West retracts his previous statements about being a Nazi after sparking outrage with controversial posts on X.

A former Yeezy staffer, a Jewish woman, sued Kanye West in California superior court Tuesday alleging sex and religious discrimination and harassment, accusing West of comparing himself to Hitler, sending her pornographic material and referring to her as “bitch” and other insults in text messages,

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is now retracting his earlier claims about identifying as a Nazi. On Wednesday (Feb. 19), he reflected on his previous statements and took them back in a recent post on X. “After further reflection I’ve come to the realization that I’m not a Nazi,” he wrote.

Kanye West has gone dark. In the wake of a series of antisemitic tweets from the rapper and fashion mogul, West’s X account was deactivated.

This was not the first time West had posted antisemitic rants on X. The rapper was restricted on the social media platform in 2022 after a post in which declared that he wanted to go “death con 3 on Jewish people.” The 2022 rant led to widespread backlash and resulted in Adidas terminating its collaboration with West.
