However, Osaka will face much stiffer competition in the 13-seed Liudmila Samsonova tomorrow. Currently, Osaka is the World No. 49 with a record of 22-11.

Naomi Osaka surprised a day ago by announcing the end of her coaching partnership with Patrick Mouratoglou after 10 months of working together. The four-time Grand Slam champion had not made the leap she expected with the French coach by her side,

Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, has been in a career rut for years. Mouratoglou joined her staff in September of 2024 and there hasn't been much improvement. Osaka has not made it past the third round of a Grand Slam tournament since 2021 when she won the Australian Open. Now she will look for a new coach to help bring her back to form.
