Transfer portal season has started. The portal doesn't open up until Dec. 9, but with the end of the regular season Saturday, players have begun making their decisions to enter the portal.

The Oklahoma Sooners have been looking for some veterans to add to their young tight end room in the transfer portal. On Wednesday evening, the Sooners earned a commitment from Louisiana Tech transfer tight end John Locke.

Carter was a four-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 11 linebacker in the cycle. Out of Tampa Catholic, Carter’s speed and athleticism made him one of the more highly regarded backers in 2023. He had 33 Power Four offers coming out of high school.

Former Oklahoma State star linebacker/safety Kendal Daniels committed on Monday, he told On3. A former Freshman All-American and Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year, Daniels totaled 240 tackles, 7.5 Sacks, 13 pass deflections, five interceptions and two fumble recoveries in three seasons with the Cowboys.

The Oklahoma Sooners added their second special teamer from Kennesaw State, signing former Owls kicker Austin Welch. Welch reunites with former teammates tight end Carson Kent and punter Jacob

The Sooners needed big-time help at tight end, and now have brought in their third transfer of the offseason in John Locke.

The Oklahoma Sooners have experienced significant turnover at the wide receiver position this offseason. They've added four wideouts: Javonnie Gibson, Keontez Lewis, Isaiah Sategna, and Josiah Martin in the transfer portal.

Oklahoma State finally got some good news from the transfer portal again. On Wednesday, McClain Baxley of 247Sports reported that OSU defensive back Kobe Hylton has withdrawn from the transfer portal.

The winter transfer portal is closed up, but time’s not up for the Oklahoma Sooners just yet. The deadline to enter the portal has come and come for most players.
