Sheinelle Jones is sharing a poignant message about her late husband, Uche Ojeh, as she prepares to step into her new role co-hosting TODAY’s fourth hour.

Sheinelle and Uche got married in 2007. According to Today, the two tied the knot in Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia, Sheinelle’s hometown. The spouses met in college at Northwestern University, and, according to Sheinelle, she was Uche’s tour guide when he was looking at their school.

Sheinelle Jones was announced as Hoda Kotb’s replacement on the fourth hour of the Today show on Tuesday, December 9 — and other hopefuls are starting to realize that they never had a chance, Rob Shuter reported in his Naughty But Nice Substack on Wednesday.

Jones, 47, was born in Philadelphia. She attended Northwestern University, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in journalism and met her late husband, Uche Ojeh.
