Tottenham have directly spoken to Tel’s representatives and even have a deal in place with Bayern over a move to sign him on a permanent deal. Tel, however, is yet to say yes to Tottenham and the feeling at Manchester United and Bayern is that the Frenchman is leaning towards a loan move.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy travelled to Munich on Friday to put forward the club’s proposal but Tel turned down a move to Ange Postecoglou’s side and told Bayern he would rather stay if no other teams come forward before Monday’s transfer deadline.
