P resident Donald Trump said in a Sunday interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures that amid Ukraine’s request for Tomahawk missiles from the United States in its ongoing war with Russia, “we have to remember one thing, we need them for ourselves too.”

Trump wants Russia and Ukraine to freeze the war on the current battlelines, with Moscow holding a huge swathe of eastern Ukraine.

The Tomahawk's range would open up great swathes of Russia to Ukrainian long-range missile strikes, most notably Moscow and St. Petersburg.
