Cartersville police captain talks about foiled Altana airport shooting
CARTERSVILLE, Ga. - Cartersville police are crediting teamwork and fast-moving communication for stopping a planned shooting at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Atlanta police found 49-year-old Billy Cagle at the airport within about 20 minutes and took him into federal custody.
The man, who authorities said had "mental challenges," had 27 rounds of ammunition and an AR-15 rifle in his truck.
