The Denver Broncos shook up their roster in last-minute preparations ahead of their Week 15 tilt against the Green Bay Packers.
Sam Ehlinger turned down an opportunity to join the Colts' 53-player roster this week. The Broncos have done him a solid by promoting him from the practice squad to the game-day roster for Sunday. The Colts made Ehlinger a sixth-round pick in 2021, and he spent his first four seasons in Indianapolis. He started three games in 2022.
Turner, a rookie inside linebacker, was promoted from the practice squad to 53-man roster. Bandy was elevated from practice squad. QB Ehlinger also elevated.
According to Adam Schefter, the Broncos made four roster moves ahead of Week 15, including signing TE Marcedes Lewis back to the practice squad. Denver also promoted LB Jordan Turner from the practice squad to the active roster and elevated both WR Michael Bandy and QB Sam Ehlinger for Sunday.
The Denver Broncos always had a plan in place with 2010 Pro Bowl tight end Marcedes Lewis, whom they released on Thursday. And just as head coach Sean Payton laid out, the Broncos executed that plan to bring Lewis back into the fold.
Additionally, Denver elevated wide receiver Michael Bandy and quarterback Sam Ehlinger from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Packers. The Broncos also signed tight end Marcedes Lewis back to the practice squad after he was waived on Thursday.
