DETROIT — The Detroit Lions (4-2) look to avoid a rare slide in the regular season after a loss last week when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-1) in a matchup of two of the best teams in the NFC tonight at Ford Field.

The player who sparked some life into the offense was running back Jahmyr Gibbs. On the first drive alone, Gibbs got four touches in a row, totaling 37 yards, to set up an Amon-Ra St. Brown touchdown. He was more involved in the passing game this time around, with 30 of those yards coming from a catch-and-run that put the Lions in scoring range.

Jahmyr Gibbs had four plays of 24 or more yards Monday night and finished with a career-high 218 yards from scrimmage and 2 TDs for the Detroit Lions.

The Lions' patchwork secondary and relentless front seven shutdown Tampa Bay's offense, paving the way for a key win before the bye.

Last week's postgame brawl between the Chiefs and Lions is something you rarely see after any NFL game and it resulted in a suspension for one of Detroit's better defensive players. Lions DB Brian Branch was issued a one-game ban by the league,

"I don't see him (playing) Monday. That was just, get him out there moving around in individual," Campbell said. "He's still got a little bit to go here to make sure that he's ready, or can be ready, to produce, to protect himself, all of that. But he's improving, that's a positive sign."

Corner Terrion Arnold is unlikely to play Monday for the Detroit Lions vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers despite practicing on a limited basis Friday.
