I want to use Hiren's boot CD mini-xp to install the drivers for a new mobo that uses the original CPU and memory. The old board was an Asus M4A79T Deluxe that died... I ordered an Asus M5A97 LE R2.0.
In most cases, you can install the drivers for the new board while still on the old board. The main drivers to get are the Chipset (IDE/SATA/USB), Video (if changing cards), Sound, Network and BIOS.
As the title says, upgrading from a 4-year old Intel (10th gen) setup to Ryzen 7950X3D. Running Windows 11. I know Windows is a lot better at dealing with hardware changes but this is a drastic change ...
