Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts smiled as he described his 44-yard touchdown run. "Saquon needed a break," Hurts said of teammate Saquon Barkley. "So I told him I'll get one." Barkley happily did the rest.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced starting quarterback Jalen Hurts will not play in the team's final game of the regular season against the New York Giants. Hurts is listed on the injury report with a concussion and left finger injury.

Hurts isn’t supposed to be a $50 million game manager, and even though the Eagles are in the NFC championship game, an injury could hamper his mobility after the quarterback was sacked seven times.

Hurts was a full participant in practice Thursday, with the Eagles gaining key assets just before the playoffs begin.
