THE biggest storm since Ciarán is due to hit the Island this evening, with winds of up to 90mph forecast. The strongest winds of Storm Goretti are forecast to arrive from 6pm through until the early hours of Friday morning.
A red warning for wind has been issued for parts of Cornwall, the Isles of Scilly and Jersey as Storm Goretti is set to bring gusts of up to 100mph. There is also a yellow warning for wind across Devon. In both Jersey and Guernsey people have been told to stay at home.
