Republicans released a detailed spending bill ahead of a deadline to avoid a partial government shutdown on March 14.

The House passed a bill Tuesday, 217-213, that would keep the government funded through September. The measure next heads to the Senate where prospects for passage remain uncertain as the threat of a shutdown looms.

Senate Democrats have vowed to shut down the federal government rather than support a House-approved budget resolution to avert a pending government shutdown at the end of the day Friday.
