The Jazz open the season Wednesday night at home, kicking off another year of development, speculation, and hopefully just enough chaos to keep things compelling.

Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) announced that a new Utah Jazz practice facility is coming to the Shops at South Town in Sandy.

Bailey was ruled out of the Jazz's last preseason game vs. the Portland Trail Blazers due to bilateral knee soreness. And while that issue seems to be resolves, the rookie's now dealing with a case of the flu that could put his status in jeopardy for game one of 82 for the regular season.

The new practice facility will have many of the same amenities as the old one, which was renovated in 2017: two basketball courts, a locker room, a kitchen, and workout and training spaces for the Jazz. The Smith Entertainment Group will also move its corporate offices to Sandy.

The Utah Jazz will have a new practice facility in Sandy announced by SEG. The facility will be part of a sports campus including Utah Mammoth's practice site. Completion is expected within two years, featuring expanded amenities and player spaces.

Collecting a bundle of players through the draft and allowing them a long leash and lengthy runway is a great way to tank to the bottom of the standings. But the time is coming very soon when the Jazz will have to start moving forward, and not all of the youngsters on this roster are going to be here for the next stage.
