Reliance on AI chatbots to summarize information they collect online has raised a number of concerns, including the technology’s propensity to confidently spout false information.

OpenAI on Tuesday unveiled a free web browser that is designed to work closely with the company’s artificial intelligence technologies, including the chatbot ChatGPT.

In the agent mode in Atlas, ChatGPT interacts with sites for users, who can use it to do tasks from start to finish, like researching and shopping for a trip.
