Not a moment too soon, AMD has finally put a release date on the much anticipated Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT GPUs. They go on sale in March. Yeah, just March, no specific day in March has yet been indentified by AMD.

AMD now says its RX 9070 and 9070 XT graphics cards are expected in two months, despite stores already reportedly having stock of the GPUs.

As we've discussed before, AMD didn't really talk about its RDNA 4-based graphics cards at CES 2025, despite briefing the press on the topic. The company gave a vague "Q1 2025" release window for the cards,

The Radeon RX 9070 Series, the first GPUs from AMD to leverage its new RDNA 4 architecture, haven't been released yet because they are too expensive relative to the competition, according to new speculation brewed by a forum post from a PCGH insider who claims that the Radeon RX 9070 and Radeon RX 9070 XT have been delayed for reasons that include "unclear marketing funds" and trouble between AMD and its retail partners.
