The Chicago Bulls don’t have a true replacement for Ayo Dosunmu, whom the medical team shut down for the season to address instability in his left shoulder.

According to the NBA's official website, after experiencing left shoulder instability and further evaluation from training and medical professionals, Ayo Dosunmu will undergo surgery and remain out for the remainder of the season. Dosunmu, who is in his fourth year in the league, has emerged as a solid contributor for the Bulls.

Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu said he will need four to six months to recover after he undergoes surgery Wednesday for a fracture in his left shoulder.
