US-based legacy carrier Delta Air Lineshas announced that it will be expanding its partnership with American fast-food chain Shake Shack, as it will be offering first-class passengers the option to pre-select a Shake Shack cheeseburger meal on select flights out of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Delta Air Lines' expansion of its partnership with the burger chain means more first class passengers will be able to enjoy Shake Shack burgers on flights from various U.S. cities.

Delta Air Lines Inc. will offer Shake Shack Inc. burgers to first class passengers on longer flights departing from New York’s LaGuardia Airport starting on Tuesday.

Delta Air Lines Inc (NYSE: DAL) introduces Shake Shack burgers in First Class on select routes, including Atlanta and Seattle. Passengers on flights over 900 miles can enjoy a Shake Shack Cheeseburger as their meal.

Beginning Tuesday, Delta is serving Shake Shack cheeseburgers to first-class customers on flights over 900 miles that depart from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, New York City's LaGuardia Airport and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

The partnership between Delta and Shake Shack was launched from Boston in 2024, and first-class passengers can choose the option before their flight. Additionally, Delta, Shake Shack, and Uber Eats are offering a “buy one get one free” for ShackBurgers on Uber Eats for members who have joined the Delta x Uber waitlist by March 6.

Delta and Shake Shack have teamed up to serve burgers to some passengers on flights of more than 900 miles out of Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York-LaGuardia and Seattle. But not everyone on board will be able to savor the taste of the burgers. They will only be for those flying in First Class, Delta said in a news release.
