There were plenty of heroes for the Philadelphia Eagles during Sunday's divisional round win against the Los Angeles Rams. Among the most pivotal performances was the one from Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who wreaked havoc in the trenches throughout the game.

Jalen Carter saved the Eagles’ season. That’s not to take anything away from Saquon Barkley’s 205-yard game or Nolan Smith’s forced fumble or Zack Baun’s heroics or anything else that the Eagles did well in their 28-22 win over the Rams.

Jalen Hurts did his job, for the most part. Oren Burks and Isaiah Rodgers step into key spots because of injuries.

The fireworks started early in Philadelphia. Before their divisional round matchup Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, Eagles defensive Jalen Carter and the Rams’ Jared Verse exchanged words near the end zone as the rookie Los Angeles edge rusher did a lap around the perimeter.

Jalen Hurts did not miss a snap despite suffering a knee injury. Tough dude. Lane Johnson was not on the field for victory formation. Fred Johnson took that snap at right tackle.

While the Eagles' offense had its struggles at times, the Philly defense was dominant in the second half, sealing a win and the right to host the NFC Championship.
