New trademark filings hint at the possible return of the S-Class Coupe, potentially as part of a limited Mythos series or a bespoke coachbuilt project.

The current Mercedes S-Class was launched in 2020, omitting the two-door coupé from its line-up in the process. We thought we’d never see a coupé variant of the seventh-generation S-Class, but Swiss firm Robu Aktiengesellschaft has given us hope by filing some patents of a sleek two-door S-Class.

The current reality is that two-door cars, such as coupés and convertibles, have low demand in a market dominated by SUVs.

Mercedes knows this, which is why the SLC, S-Class Coupe/Convertible, and AMG GT Convertible are all dead. It also merged the C-Class and E-Class Coupe/Convertible into the new CLE. But what if you want a big Benz with two doors?
