Nevada Assembly members are urging Governor Joe Lombardo to hire federal workers fired by the Trump administration.

Gov. Josh Shapiro made a pitch to federal workers fired by President Donald Trump’s administration: Pennsylvania wants to hire you for one of its current job openings. The Democratic governor on Wednesday signed an executive order directing state agencies to give hiring preference to federal employees.

The scam appears in the form of text messages to victims claiming they have outstanding toll fees and they need to pay via a website to avoid being reported to the DMV. NDOT claims that the scam is even reaching victims outside the state.
