A Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office dive team and marine units from Sonoma and Napa counties located the body about 11:20 a.m. in the water near the Hacienda Bridge, Sgt. Juan Valencia said. The remains were found near where a man used a rope swing Saturday to jump into the water and never resurfaced.

The body believed to be that of a man who was reported to be using a rope swing to jump into the Russian River on Saturday was recovered, the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office said.

A uthorities have identified the drowning victim who was pulled from the Russian River over the weekend as 35-year-old Richmond resident Nelshon Hamilton, according to the Sonoma County sheriff's office.
