Tesla has signed a lease deal to open its first showroom in Mumbai, moving towards its goal of selling imported cars in India, according to registration papers. This follows the company’s decision to drop similar plans last year.

The company will pay a rental of Rs 35.26 lakh per month, which is calculated at the rate Rs 888 per square foot, per month.

Tesla has reportedly signed a lease deal to open its first showroom in Mumbai. Word comes by way of Reuters, which claims to have verified registration papers for the Tesla's inaugural Indian showroom.
