Just in time for the 70th anniversary of the timeless film, the wonderful "Wizard of Oz" skips into town Sunday in its live stage format -- and with local Munchkins.

Jerry Maren, the last living actor who played a Munchkin in The Wizard of Oz, has died at the age of 98. Maren died May 24 at a San Diego nursing home according to The Associated Press.

Maren, the last surviving munchkin from the classic 1939 film “The Wizard of Oz,” died on May 24, 2018, at a San Diego nursing home. He was 99.
