There is a long list of things that the city of Chicago has become known for around the globe. Day games at Wrigley Field certainly make the list, as would the vibrant blues scene and its part in music’s history and evolution.

The Chicago Cubs unveiled a new “Blues Alternate” uniform Thursday, adding it to the home jersey rotation for select days while retiring their City Connect “Wrigleyville”

On the opposite side is the player’s number in red in a blues-era style typography. The sleeve features another new logo, a royal blue guitar pick with CHICAGO squeezed in custom lettering with the middle “C” (music term!
