SAN FRANCISCO — The Celtics have hit a slog in their schedule as it’s clear they haven’t been playing their best basketball of late. While they still have the second-best record in the East, they’re just 8-8 over their last 16 games as inconsistencies and other issues have bogged them down.

As badly as Boston has played over parts of December and January, Kerr downplayed any concern. “I wouldn’t worry about the Celtics if I were one of their fans,” Kerr said. “This is normal.” The Celtics built a first-half lead on the back of their defense Monday before running away from the Golden State Warriors for a 125-85 win.

Kerr's Warriors repeated as champions in 2017 and ’18, and no team has done it since. “I wouldn’t worry about the Celtics if I were one of their fans,” Kerr said.

Monday's Warriors-Celtics game was a matchup of championship-winning rosters who faced off for the NBA title just three seasons ago. Only one team on Monday looked like remotely like a playoff team, much less a title contender in 2025.
