Boston Ballet's Nutcracker production runs at the Citizens Opera House through Dec. 29 on Tuesday-Sunday, with show times at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $25 and go up to $350.
The event is free and open to the public. The Christmas tree lighting will also air live on WCVB starting at 7 p.m.
The main event will happen on the Boston Common next to the Visitor’s Information Center at about 139 Tremont St., but lights will be visible throughout the entire Common and Public Garden.
