Netflix is planning to hire ESPN's on-air talent, Elle Duncan, as the face of its ever-growing sports coverage.

Dan Hurley loves college basketball and wants it to succeed. The UConn men’s basketball coach and Jersey City native also wants to see it promoted more on the major sports talk shows - and called on ESPN and FS1 to devote more time to the sport instead of "talking about the backup quarterback on the (Detroit) Lions."

It’s unclear what events Duncan will host over on Netflix, but the streaming service’s coverage won’t be a daily task for her like it is at ESPN. So far, Netflix is hosting Christmas Day NFL games, the Women’s World Cup, MLB games and some boxing bouts.

Elle Duncan will reportedly leave ESPN to pursue a new sports media opportunity. The Athletic's Andrew Marchand reported Tuesday that Duncan will "fully part ways" with ESPN to become the "new face" of Netflix's sports programming.
