World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is making the trip, and why wouldn’t he after finishing second in 2021 and ’22 before winning in 2023, a victory that helped springboard his tremendous 2024 season.

The Sporting News' golf pro, Keith Stewart of Read the Line, provides his full betting preview for Tiger Woods' 2024 Hero World Challenge and serves up his best bets and top props for the weekend.

The three players are Ludvig Aberg, Akshay Bhatia and Nick Dunlap. All three were interviewed for the Hero World Challenge X (formerly Twitter) account and let it be known how they felt about being able to play in the event. Why yes, we do still have golf to bet on in the year 2024. It's not quite a signature event and it most certainly is not a full-field event, but it is the Hero World Challenge, where 20 of the best players in the world will be vying for the $1 million first-place check at Albany Resort in the Bahamas.
