Apple has reportedly stopped production of its premium-priced mixed-reality headset due to weak demand and a lack of content. While low-sales numbers for the first model have indeed stalled the development of a new model it turns out that Apple could instead be re-working it to be a slight upgrade utilizing the M5 chip along with supporting Apple Intelligence.

Apple has certainly carved itself a market for selling extremely well-made products at ludicrously high prices. Given an audience willing to fork out eye-watering amounts for its laptops and phones, it’s perhaps not surprising that the company assumed it could do the same in the cursed world of VR with the $3,

Nvidia is expanding its GeForce Now game streaming service to more platforms, including the Meta Quest 3 and 3S, Pico, and, yes, even the Apple Vision Pro.

This positions the XYN Headset as a content creation device, rather than a consumption device for gaming, video calling or watching a movie. Instead, the prototype headset is aimed at creatives who want to delve into 3D production and 3D character modelling.

It's a shame Apple didn't include the ultra-wide Mac virtual display when it launched the Vision Pro. The product would have made so much more sense.
