The St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport has resumed normal operations and there are no safety concerns at this time after a written bomb threat on an Allegiant flight on Friday, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

An Allegiant plane was evacuated after a flight attendant found a threat on a bathroom door, according to Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri.

The FAA said via social media that the incident on the Allegiant Airways flight shut down the airport around 4:30 p.m. for a security threat.
