The Ohio State Buckeyes have seen quite a few players enter the transfer portal over the last few weeks. Once again, on Sunday, Ohio State saw another player make his decision to explore other options.

Ohio State football is going to have to revamp its offensive line as another key option is hitting the transfer portal.

By joining Gabe Powers in the transfer portal, Mitchell Melton became the second Ohio State Buckeyes ' linebacker to announce his intention to leave the program. A top 200 recruit in the 2020 recruiting class per 247Sports, Melton committed to Ohio State over offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Air Force, Duke and others.

While the Ohio State Buckeyes are in pursuit of a National Championship, the program still remains active in the transfer portal. Despite still being in season, the Buckeyes continue to prove their willingness to utilize the portal to prepare for the future.

Ohio State walk-on tight end Patrick Gurd entered the transfer portal on Sunday. The fifth-year senior had carved out a small role on the offense and had played as a fullback and an extra tight end when called upon.
