Showers and storms are set to roll in before a cold front pushes through Orlando and the surrounding Central Florida area on Wednesday.

On Friday, a cold front is moving southward across Central Florida. Cloud cover will keep temperatures in the 60s near Interstate 4, according to NWS Melbourne. Further south, there will be sunshine and temperatures in the 70s. Light showers from Melbourne to Kissimmee are possible, according to NWS Melbourne.

Weather whiplash continues this week as a strong cold front will drive temperatures down about 20 degrees between Tuesday and Thursday!

South Florida will have a midweek cooldown before warmer temperatures return as the weekend approaches. A cold front associated with a frontal boundary is expected to move across South Florida on Wednesday afternoon and into the evening bringing temperatures in the lower 50s for coastal Palm Beach County and in the upper 40s in communities near Lake Okeechobee,

A warm, humid afternoon is ahead with highs climbing to 80 degrees. Although the rain chance is low, a stray shower is possible. There is a high risk of rip currents along the Atlantic beaches and it is not safe to go swimming in the ocean.

We’ll see a blend of sun and clouds Tuesday afternoon, with high temperatures in the low 80s. Clouds will increase Tuesday night as our next cold front approaches our area. Wednesday will be somewhat active as showers and a few storms move through Central Florida.
