Colorado head coach Deion Sanders suggested Tuesday that his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and two-way star Travis Hunter could participate in a college football bowl game this year despite being projected as high first-round NFL Draft picks.

Colorado stars Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter will play in the Buffaloes' postseason bowl game despite declaring for the NFL Draft, coach Deion Sanders said Tuesday. The decisions eschews a trend of highly ranked players opting out to prepare for the draft.

Both Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter have been rumored to be in play for the No. 1 pick in next year’s NFL Draft.

The NFL great — and former Cowboys defensive back — seemed to jokingly admonish the question with Colorado athletic director Rick George at the podium with him.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound junior WR and cornerback for the Buffaloes also said he intends to play on both sides of the ball at the next level.
