In a Friday ruling, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit found that a previous order barring the government's use of the Guard in the city would remain in place.

A federal judge in California on Wednesday ordered an end to Donald Trump's deployment of National ​Guard troops to Los Angeles and directed that they be returned to the control of the state's Democratic governor.

The judge has ordered control of the the troops, which were deployed in June, to be returned to California's governor.
