Congresswoman Elise Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, received news of a bomb threat to her residence as she, her husband and their three-year-old were driving home to Saratoga County for Thanksgiving, according to a statement from Stefanik’s office.

Rep. Elise Stefanik and former Rep. Lee Zeldin were two New Yorkers among the Trump administration picks who faced bomb threats and 'swatting' calls.

Stefanik's office said the congresswoman, her husband and their three-year-old son were not at the home during the Nov. 27 scare, but were en route from Washington, D.C. for the Thanksgiving holiday at the time they were notified.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, multiple Cabinet picks for Trump and several Democratic members of Congress were targeted with bomb threats.

Several of President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet and administration picks said they were targeted by bomb threats and swatting calls Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Several high-profile members of the incoming Trump administration have been targeted by bomb threats, with "swatting incidents" also being reported by the FBI. "Swatting" involves making a hoax call to the police in the hope of directing them to the target's home.
